Review | Nikkor 50mm F1.8 FX lens

Disclaimer:  This is my view on the Nikkor lens.  It is my experience and how I feel about the lens.  Take it with a grain of salt.  You may have varied results with your experience.  Thank you.

In this video and blog post I go over my feelings about the Nikkor 50mm F1.8 lens.
I got this lens a few months back and have been using it and the quality of images are great.   There are a couple of things I love about the lens.

  1. Cheap.  You can get this lens used for about 135.00 to 200.00 dollars depending on your local camera store.  I got mine cheap and I used layaway (best thing ever invented) to get my lens.  You can see if your local camera store my provide layaway.  You can pay small payments over a period of time then you can pick up the lens.  This is how I have purchased 90% of my gear.
  2. Great quality glass.  It is a beautiful lens.  It is small and compact yet also creates beautiful Bokeh and color representation. At least my lens does.  I think it all depends on where you get your lens from and the amount of usage it has had.
  3. 35mm Cameras!  I can use this lens on my Nikon FM2 and also on my DSLR.  I get auto focus on my DSLR which is a major plus.  I can switch back and forth between my oh so loved Nikon FM2 and my D7100.

The lens creates clean and beautiful photographs. If you are looking for a very affordable
lens to toss in your bag and get some great photographs, I do recommend this lens.  Check out my video below for more info.
